Reconnect and Recharge
A 6-day healing men's retreat at a tropical food-forest intentional community. Dec 27–Jan 2
The Work
Men remembering how to connect and collaborate.
This 6-day journey is part men's healing retreat, part hands-in-the-dirt building, intentional community and eco-village immersion. You'll help raise real structures, eat food pulled straight from the forest, and sit in circle with men doing the work alongside you.
This is a full nervous system and gut reset. Away from screens, away from the noise, located a working intentional community where the land itself teaches you something about what belonging actually looks like.
Kept small on purpose. Six men max, so this stays a container for depth.
Retreat Highlights
Private Chef and Gut Reset
Pick your lunch right off the trees, heal your belly and eat home-cooked, organic meals for dinner. And of course drink all of the coconuts your tummy desires.
Eco-Construction Collaboration
Daily work parties to build real eco-structures and tend the land. Working with the land only helps make the inner work that much more real and felt.
Prep + Integration Calls
The transformation doesn't start when you land or end when you leave. Structured group preparation and integration calls before and after the retreat will ensure your sustained growth.
Technology Detox
Wifi is available on the property, however you are invited to take a break from the rat race and let your nervous system come back to homeostasis. Be with the forest and with one another.
Intentional Community Immersion
Experience a real-life, fully functioning 17-acre permaculture food forest over 20 years in the making. Participate in the group processes and learn the tools that have worked and have failed. Workshops include non-violent communication, permaculture basics and community conflict resolution.
Family Programming Available
Bring your partner, children and family to experience this retreat with you. The village provides--women, children and elders are welcome and will be cared cared for while we work.
Rites of passage work for men is an essential part of our full masculine maturation.
Do the work on a permaculture food-forest in intentional community--and it sinks in that much deeper.
THE ARC
Prepare - December 1st, 2026
We support your journey with preparation calls (1-on-1 and group). These Zoom calls will ensure you're ready to absorb the benefits of the trip and that the group is synced up.
Arrive - December 27th, 2026
An airport shuttle will pick you up at either Hilo International (ITO) or Kona International (KOA). You will be brought to GaiaYoga Gardens, welcomed and oriented. Opening ceremony will begin when we all arrive and are settled in.
Immerse - December 28th - December 31st, 2026
The daily schedule will be a balanced blend of daily work parties, men's embodiment, connection and healing, nature outings, community and permaculture workshops and rest time.
Culminate - January 1st, 2027
The final day will be a celebration of our collective and individual work. We will use the New Year to anchor our integration and set ourselves up for continued expansion beyond the retreat.
Depart - January 2nd, 2027
We say our goodbyes and shuttle back to the airport, with a trunk full of coconuts and fresh fruit. If a beach stop is in the flow, we will do it!
Integrate - January, 2027
Just as we prepare, we integrate. 1-on-1 and group calls ensure that the medicine sinks in. Who knows what collaborations, networking and magic will ensue from our collective process.
The Land
GaiaYoga Gardens is an intentional community on the Big Island of Hawaii devoted to creating and enjoying a truly holistic culture and consciousness.
Who This Is For
Men ready to do real work, inside and out. Men craving brotherhood that isn't performative. Men who want to build something with their hands, reset their gut and their nervous system, and leave changed in ways that outlast the retreat itself.

Hi,
I'm Andrew Belinsky
I've spent 14+ years in the men's work and healing space, and 12+ years as a yoga teacher. I run Masculine Embodiment out of Bend, Oregon, a studio built to help men build strength, presence, and brotherhood, on and off the mat.
I've staffed and hosted over 20 men's retreats. I initiated with the ManKind Project in 2012, and I'm a founding member of Sacred Sons. This work isn't new to me, I've held the container from every seat there is.
Re-villaging is my mission. Rebuilding the kind of community humans were actually built for. And the men are the number one block to making that real, so we start here in brotherhood so we can re-weave an intergenerational land cooperative where women and children feel safe and elders are cared for.
I keep coming back to this land for a reason. There's something about a food forest, working with your hands, limited cell reception, and a circle of men who are actually willing to show up, that does what a cabin in the woods cannot. My co-parent and our 8-yr old daughter have been spending time at and weaving into the GaiaYoga Gardens community for the past year, and I'm certain it is the next frontier of the men's work. I'm not bringing you somewhere I haven't already been changed by.
This retreat is me inviting you into that same portal of change.
